This 10 day [10 night] tour covers what are, arguably, the jewels of the far North West corner of Spain. Arriving at the Santander ferry terminal, the tour takes riders through the Eastern side of the Picos Europa, the La Rioja wine region, up into the mid Pyrenees, a visit to Pamplona and then head back for the ferry from Bilbao to the UK. This tour is suitable for all road bikes.

The start point for this tour is the edge of the Eastern Picos Europa, at a hotel which is approximately 1 hour from the Santander ferry terminal. After riding through the spectacular Eastern Picos Europa, we head for the La Rioja area. This is the main wine producing region of Spain. We tour through some of the fascinating, hidden enclaves in the La Rioja area and sample the wide variety of this aromatically strong but smooth tasting wine. From La Rioja we then ride through some of the more remote parts of the Navarra region, heading to the captivating mid Pyrenees, before we circle down to Pamplona.

Tour Prices

We match solo riders and smaller groups with other riders to form tour groups. For groups of 4 bikes or more 1900 euros per rider 875 euros per pillion sharing a room 10 nights and 10 days riding. Note: Tour price includes a seperate room for each rider , breakfast and lunch. Payments can be made in £'s at the appropriate conversion rate. Prices may be subject to change. Tour Schedule

Day		La Rioja and Mid Pyrenees Tour [plus Eastern Picos Europa]
1		Arrival into Santander and meet leader in North Picos Europa area for first nights Hotel.
2		Ride up the eastern side of the Picos National Park heading towards North of Burgos for our overnight.
3		We head towards the Sierra De La Demanda and east of Lograno for our overnight on the edge of the Rioja area. We send time in one of the Rioja areas specialist wineries during the evening.
4		We now head into some real wilderness riding over the Spanish plains. We head east towards Jaca but cross country to the foothills of the mid Pyrenees.
5		Continuing heading east towards the Llanvorsi area close to the western border of Andorra.
6		We ride some of the remote roads up to the top of the Pyrenees into the Vielha area on the border with France and then circle back into Spain South of Vielha
7		We ride east across the foothills of the French Pyrenees to the St Girons area for an overnight.
8		We continue heading east to Lourdes and then cross via B roads over the Pyrenees into Spain to a point North East of Jaca..
9		We travel to Pampalona to arrive by mid day, so we can park the bikes at the Hotel and head into the city.
10		We head across Eastern Cantabria towards Santander/Bilbao for the ferry. We overnight North of Burgos.
11		Depart for ferry.
